The Georgia wide receiver and Tennessee quarterback won’t meet on separate sides of the field until Nov. 18, when the Bulldogs visit Knoxville. But in their latest partnership, the duo have come together to star in a marketing campaign for The Dairy Alliance.
Supporting the Tennessee and Georgia Dairy Alliances, the parties have come together for a promotion that’s been dubbed, “The Milk Bowl.” The goal is to drive attention and education toward milk. The campaign was facilitated by Everett Sports Marketing.
In a video provided to On3, McConkey and Milton are sitting in ice tubs, trading facts about how milk can help with hydration and strength.
“Just one eight-ounce glass of milk help me muscle up,” Milton says in the commercial. McConkey quickly shoots back, “You need all the help you can get.” The Tennessee quarterback says, “Game on” and pulls out a gallon of milk.
A fun NIL campaign, it’s a smart move by The Dairy Alliance to get the promotion in front of a large audience by working with two of college football’s biggest names.
A year ago, former Georgia quarterback Stetson Bennett switched his nickname from the “Mailman” to “Milkman” in a partnership with The Dairy Alliance.

A few years ago, they found their 21-acre paradise along Hopewell Road in Milton, an area known for its horse farms.
Then, a few months back, they learned what might be moving in just beyond the fence – an athletic park.

“There should be no reason for an active park for an active park right next to a horse farm,” Hester told Channel 2′s Bryan Mims.
The 40-acre site would include multipurpose fields, baseball fields, field lighting, and a parking lot.
“Everything that we’ve worked for, they’re talking about putting this active sports park right next door, so we didn’t know what to do,” Hester said.
He and his neighbors began circulating a petition that’s collected about 1,200 signatures. Signs have popped up in yards and roadsides that say “If you think traffic is bad now …”
“It cancels the farm,” Hester said. “There’s no way you can raise young horses and continue what we’re doing with this operation.”
But Milton city manager Steven Krokoff said it’s still unclear exactly what will happen with the property. “Now comes the planning process,” he said.
The city bought the land several months ago, with the potential for a sports park or for conservation. “We find ourselves sometimes having to jump on opportunities when they arise very quickly,” he said, referring to competition with developers when buying property in the city.

Krokoff said two committees, formed by the city council, will study the best uses for the land and will engage the public in the process.
But he pointed out that Milton has a pressing need for athletic parks.
“We are significantly underparked for our active community,” Krokoff said. “We need to find locations to build those ball fields and football fields. Perhaps there are better places to do so, and I think that’s what we’re going to see come out of this committee.”
Hester said the last thing he wants to do is leave his dream home.
“Where else do I go? This is what we are – an equestrian farm in Milton,” he said. “We understand that you’ve bought the space, but there are so many other things you can do with it other than putting an active park by an active horse farm.
“If you claim the small-town appeal, then it doesn’t relate to a mega park.”

City Councilman Paul Moore read the statement into record at a Milton City Council meeting Sept. 6. Before doing so, Moore described a number of “attacks” on the city by an “angry” blogger, the press and others.
“It's been unfortunate that we don't have an opportunity very often to correct the record, and we've been pretty quiet as a city in doing so,” Moore said. “What came to my attention recently is that there was another attack on the city by an attorney.”
The city’s statement was a response to allegations raised in a complaint filed to the State Elections Board by Bryan Sells, an Atlanta lawyer who specializes in voting rights, election law and redistricting.
“There is no merit to the suggestion that Milton’s process has been compromised, or anything other than front-facing, transparent, thoroughly vetted and legally compliant,” Moore read from the letter, then read again for emphasis.
Sells’ complaint is not the first notice filed to the state questioning Milton’s municipal election process. Another was a letter sent by Milton Families First, an independent expenditure committee which raises money to influence elections.
Sells levies state election code for his argument, alleging Milton didn’t have the authority to change the number and boundary of voting precincts. In an interview with Appen Media last month, Sells offered his own interpretation of Georgia law.
“Polling places in Fulton County can only be changed by the Fulton County Commission,” Sells said.
At the Wednesday meeting, Milton officially approved three polling locations for Election Day, one in each council district, for its Nov. 7 election. Votes can be cast at City Hall, the Community Center at Milton Park and Preserve and the Milton Public Safety Complex. Before this year, Fulton County provided eight polling locations.
In an August interview Appen Media questioned Milton City Attorney Ken Jarrard about Sells’ interpretation.
Jarrard cited a state code section that delineates powers to the “superintendent of county or the governing authority of the municipality” — interpreting it to mean the City Council was legally allowed to cast decisions on its election administration.
The letter read by Moore Sept. 6 reiterated and expanded upon that reading of the law.
In his complaint to the State Elections Board, Sells also took issue with the “improper influence” into the hiring of the city’s election consultant as well as incumbents participating in the administration of their own election.
But the city says this implicit suggestion, that incumbents must recuse, is untenable.
“If it were the case that council members whose posts were on the ballot were disqualified from voting on precincts, or other logistical issues, then during the 2025 city election cycle, a quorum of council would be automatically disqualified,” Moore read.
Matthew Weiss, who serves as the deputy general counsel for the Democratic Party of Georgia, brought forth concerns similar to Sells’ during the public comment portion of the meeting.
Weiss also said having one early voting location, which is at City Hall, is “less than ideal.”
He went on to say this municipal election will have “outsized importance,” because other cities in Fulton County are looking at how Milton is administering its election for their own 2025 and 2027 municipal election cycles.
“I think it’s important to us and to the voters of Milton that everything is done in compliance with state election code, regulations,” Weiss said.

MILTON, Ga. — It’s hard not to feel joy when 2-year-old Emmie grabs her mom's hand and walks toward you with a big smile.
Andi Mahoney calls her daughter a miracle given that Emmie wasn’t supposed to be walking right now. She wasn’t even supposed to be alive.
When Mahoney was pregnant, her 20-week scan showed her baby had a condition called bilateral renal agenesis, meaning she didn’t have kidneys.
“It’s universally fatal,” said Mahoney. “So, we grieved. We thought we were losing our baby, and we were told that there's no hope.”
Hope is exactly what the Mahoney family clung to though, as they prayed for a miracle.
The family traveled all over the country to receive different treatments, before moving to Milton, in hopes of giving their future daughter, Emmie, a chance at survival.
At six months old, Emmie was life-flighted to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta for treatment for the rare condition.
Dr. Rouba Garro, a nephrologist and medical director of the kidney transplant program at Children’s, said the outcome is usually grim for babies with this condition.
“Because even if those babies survive, still providing dialysis in these small little babies is not easy, even if it's done by experienced teams," the doctor said. "There are potential serious and fatal complications even if the baby survives pregnancy.”

Garro credits collaborations across different healthcare providers and units with the rare but wonderful outcome in Emmie’s case.
“But one very important player in this is the family who has been the incredible advocate for Emmie and, more importantly, a wonderful team player in providing healthcare,” Garro said.
The doctor said a kidney transplant was "the ultimate therapy." With luck, Emmie’s own mom was a perfect match.
“I was a match. I was a match. She has my kidney!” Mahoney said with a huge smile.
For two and a half years, Emmie stayed on dialysis until they could complete the transplant.
“She is doing fabulous. I can go on and on,” said Garro. “It's hard not to fall in love with her. Even when she's hurting, she makes sure that she smiles and brings joy and happiness around her. And now after transplant, it's amazing to watch the growth. She's thriving.”
Garro added that, along with the multiple collaborations, the family also had to make a lot of sacrifices, like moving to different parts of the country for care, to help with this outcome.
“She’s just spreading light and joy and happiness,” said Mahoney. “And I know she's supposed to be here. She's my little miracle. She's amazing.”
Mahoney said she knows this is just the beginning, with more surgeries ahead for her little girl. For now, she said, she’s just enjoying things day by day.
